Bob Pease, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Brewers Association in the United States, will provide the keynote address at the 2017 Beer Now Conference.
The Brewers Association is the trade association representing small and independent American Craft Brewers with over 3,600 brewery members. Its purpose is to promote and protect American craft brewers, their beers, and the community of brewing enthusiasts.
Mr. Pease has worked at the Brewers Association for 24 years. He was hired at the Association of Brewers in 1993 as the Operations Director and was named Vice President in 1999. He was promoted in March of 2010 to Chief Operating Officer and named CEO in August of 2014.
We recognize the United States is not a model or crystal ball for the United Kingdom or other European countries. Even the term “craft”, embraced in the United States, has proponents and opponents in the European beer industry.
But the US “craft” beer market is booming in size and in number of beer styles. In terms of marketing, communications, and tourism the US industry is experiencing rapid changes that are following the immense changes in its beer industry as a whole. Mr. Pease will have plenty to say about these subjects.
Pease has a degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado. He is a member of American Society of Association Executives, a graduate of the Siebel Institute Professional Beer Tasting and Styles course and is a certified TIPS trainer.
He lives in Boulder, CO with his wife Peggy, daughter Kyra and dog Bode. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, telemark skiing, cycling, golf and beer drinking in his spare time.
