Sheffield’s central location and great rail network enables us to head to the nearby city of Manchester for our post-conference Beer Trail in around one hour of train travel, Sunday March 19. Manchester has an energetic, thriving and growing beer scene and on this trail we will be visiting a cross section. From a Ratebeer top hitting brewery, Cloudwater, to recently opened and highly thought of beer and Indian street food restaurant, Bundobust to institutions like Port Street Beer House and new beer-kids-on-the-block Cafe Beermoth and The Pilcrow.
Our guide on the journey will be Connor from Manchester Beer Week. An itinerary is posted below, with recommended train (individuals to purchase own tickets, time listed in itinerary) and hotel guide, as for some it may be advisable to stay in Manchester on the Sunday night due to flights out from Manchester airport. We will be on foot for the Beer Trail but there is no more than 15 minutes walk between our venues.
