Ireland bound this Summer for the European Beer Bloggers Conference in Dublin, June 27-28? Add the June 26 Pub Crawl to your “must do” list on the evening before the conference begins.
Led by beer blogger, Reuben Gray, author of The Tale of the Ale, this evening activity will quench your thirst and your appetite for knowledge about the historic beer scene in Dublin. In addition to having attended every single EBBC, Reuben is a Dublin resident and Chair of the Beoir group that raises awareness of Ireland’s independent microbreweries. He will lead pubcrawlers from The Church, where this year’s conference is being held, through many of the most authentic areas in the City and including the lively Temple Bar area of Dublin.
There is no cost to join Reuben on this fun-filled, walking beer excursion of Dublin. Bring your walking shoes and euros for your pints (and snacks if you get hungry!) and get ready for a great night out on the town.
Participants meet at The Church at 18:30 on Thursday, June 26. The Pub Crawl crosses the River Liffey and loops back around to end just around the corner from where it begins. A Google map of the Pub Crawl can be found here.

With its religious underpinnings as the former St. Mary’s Church of Ireland, The Church Bar & Restaurant is now recognized as a Dublin institution of historical importance. Home of the 2014 European Beer Bloggers Conference, The Church serves its people with good food, great drinks, and even a nightclub. We couldn’t think of a better venue for a beer bloggers conference!
Reuban’s Pub Crawl takes us in a loop and over the River Liffey, and through the Temple Bar area of Dublin, a lively, cultural area that has many great watering holes. The Pub Crawl features two Galway Bay Brewery bars, The Brew Dock and The Black Sheep, a beautiful Victorian pub (The Palace), pubs that offer their own beer as well as guest and bottle selections (Farrington’s and Porterhouse), and Dublin’s first independent craft beer pub, The Bull & Castle. Also on the list: Dublin’s only pub that also houses its own micro-brewery, J.W. Sweetman.
We look forward to seeing you on this pre-conference Pub Crawl in Dublin on Thursday, June 26! There is no registration or RSVP needed for this nighttime walking beer excursion – we will see you at The Church at 18:30 on the 26th.
Cheers,
Sarah
