The Woodstock Festival of 1969 represented the summer of love with it’s iconic musical and cultural convergence. The 2014 Beer Bloggers Conference this August 23-24 in San Diego, CA represents a love of a different kind: for beer.
Proclaimed by Men’s Magazine as the “Best Beer City in America” in 2010 by author, Adam Elder, San Diego is a beer-lover’s paradise. Warm summer days + ample beach opportunities + laid-back California style + 87 licensed craft breweries and brewpubs as of April, 2014 = good times. There is no doubt that with the uptick in the craft beer scene and interest in beer, in general, in the U.S. that other cities will compete for the title of “Best Beer City in America” in years to come. Keeping in the present, the 2014 Beer Bloggers Conference converges on the city of San Diego this coming August 23-24 and we look forward to “talking beer” with the new media world of beer bloggers in this fabulous, beer-forward city.
Zephyr Adventures recently wrapped up the successful and well received European Beer Bloggers Conference in Dublin, Ireland. We know beer! Fashioned similarly to the EBBC programming, the upcoming American Beer Bloggers Conference will feature content programming that is relevant to the growing new media niche of beer blogging as well as sponsored lunches, dinners, tastings, and the much anticipated pre-conference excursion on Thursday, August 21 through the L.A. beer scene. There is much to learn at this year’s BBC in San Diego and, of course, many beers to taste, breweries to be introduced to, principals to meet, and camaraderie to happen amongst BBC attendees.
