Top o’ the morning to the beer blogging and writing brethren. It’s a beautiful day in Asheville. The forecast for today? Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 80’s, and definitely with a chance of beer.
Yesterday’s festivities fully kicked BBC15 off with a beer bang. The conference excursions to Oskar Blues Brewery and Sierra Nevada were, truly, off the hook. Habanero infused ale and behind the scenes tours at Oskar Blues followed by a warm welcome from an absolutely elite German and American beer making team and our own private Oktoberfest down by the river made for a very special afternoon. We tasted the night away at the Beer Social Expo and then rocked it with the Night of Many Beers until the lights were dimmed and it was time to call it a (beer) night.
Today is packed full of content and tastings. We are kicking the day off with The World of Blogging with WordPress.com followed by Building Craft Beer Brands: A Talk With Award-Winning Distributors, lunch with Craft Central, Advanced Social Media for the Beer Industry, Moving Beyond the Beer Review, Quality and Consistency: the 3 PM Tasting, the much anticipated Keynote Address with Kim Jordan, Cofounder and CEO of New Belgium Brewing, Live Beer Blogging (are you tired, yet, just reading this lineup??!) and finally, the Asheville Brewdown at the Millroom just a mile from the hotel.
It’s going to be a great day at BBC15 in Asheville!
