Your last chance to submit an entry for the Best Beer Writer contest is January 31st. Please see our previous blog post Best Beer Writing Contest for complete details.
We have already had over a dozen entries and expect at least that many more. On the one hand, that means winning the grand prize -a free trip for two to attend NBWA’s 77th Annual Convention in New Orleans – is not a walk in the park. At the same time, it means that with a qualifying entry, you have a good shot at winning one of 25 free entries to the 2014 Beer Bloggers Conference.
Please remember to make sure your entry addresses the theme: “America’s Beer Renaissance: Consumer Choice and Variety in the U.S. Beer Market.” While that is a broad theme, you do still have to stick to it for a chance to win the grand prize. Some ideas for you to consider and morph from as you think about an article include:
- With more than 2,400 breweries in operation across America and hundreds of new beer brands entering the American beer scene each year, discuss the growth of the industry and how new brands are able to get to market from coast to coast.
- How can beer writers partner with brewers, beer distributors and retailers to promote beer in their communities?
- What has contributed to America’s booming beer market? What can other countries learn from the U.S. beer industry?
- Pick one of your favorite brews from an out-of-state brewery and discuss its journey from raw ingredients to your local retailer.
Entry is simple: Write your article and leave a comment on the original Best Beer Writing Contest post.
Good luck!
