The 2016 European Beer Bloggers & Writers Conference will take place in Amsterdam, August 19 & 20.
As many know, the city is amazing for tourism, has an outstanding beer culture, and is, therefore, a great location for a beer writing and blogging event like ours. The city is the base of around fifteen breweries and plenty of great beer bars/cafes. We hope beer bloggers and writers from around the globe will register to attend and join us in this outstanding location in 2016.
The Mercure Hotel Amsterdam City will host the conference. This four-star property is easy to get to, has the space we need, and also happens to share our great interest in beer. Attendees will receive a special beer media rate of €109 including breakfast and city tax for a single room and €129 including breakfast and city tax for a double room – which is an excellent rate for this time of year in Amsterdam. Book your Hotel soon at this special rate!
Of course, the beer is of primary importance. We are excited to once again be partnering with long-time supporters of beer bloggers and writers from around the world, Pilsner Urquell, host of Saturday’s dinner. Bier & cO, a European Craft Beer Distributor with a great story, will partner with and provide ten unique craft beers from the Kingdom of the Netherlands for Live Beer Blogging. We are also working to finalize a beer pairing lunch, two evening pub crawls, and pre & post-con excursions. Based on the popularity of last year’s final-minute decision to invite attendees to share some of their favorite bottles we have made the “Bottle Share” official by adding it the agenda.
Next week we will post a Call for Content here. We look forward to everyone’s ideas and suggestions for interesting topics and potential presenters. The 2015 Five-Minute Blogger & Writer Reports were one of the highest rated sessions so this will again be included.
Finally, we do want to say that we recognize this announcement should have came sooner. We appreciate your patience with us as we have worked hard to determine a location and date for the sixth annual event. There is a lot of work that goes into creating a conference like this but the most important part of the conference is its attendees and we sincerely hope everyone will join us in Amsterdam, August 19 & 20, 2016. Proost!
