Portland was 4th on the public survey, which is of course part popularity contest and includes votes from people never going to attend a Beer Bloggers Conference. We took the top five vote getters and had a private poll of those registered for the conference and Portland ranked first among that group.
When I look at the survey for 2011 cities that was posted here, it looks like Portland is 4th, not 1st (behind San Francisco, Philadelphia and Asheville).
