What is the state of beer blogging?
Is that a question you ask, wonder, or ever care about? We ask that question a lot; so much so that we have decided to conduct a survey on the state of beer blogging and are looking for your input. We are asking all beer bloggers to participate and share information about their blog that will be aggregated and then shared back with the community.
If you have a beer blog, please take a few minutes to participate in this brief survey:
2013 State of Beer Blogging Survey
We see a lot of blogs come and go; we see beer blogs grow, evolve, and we see beer blogs disappear and/or become inactive. This is an opportunity to compare your blog to the average, contribute to sharing information (all individual data will be aggregated and be confidential), and to see how beer blogs compare to other niche blogging groups like wine, food, and fitness bloggers.
We have a robust list of published beer blogs online, which you can check out on our site here. We’ve been tracking the life of beer blogs on our database, which we will add to the data we collect from the survey results.
At the end of the survey you have the option to provide your email address. If you’d like us to email you the results once we compile them, submit your email there. We also plan on sharing a detailed summary of the data we collect at the 2013 Beer Bloggers Conference this July in Boston. Registration is open for this year’s conference, so make sure you get signed up soon.
And tell us – what questions in this survey are we not asking? Just like the nature of blogs, the data we collect and the questions we ask will evolve as blogging evolves. Is there specific data that we should be analyzing that you do no see on the survey? Also – what data on beer blogs are you most eager to see compiled and look at?
I have two beer blogs, but can only take the survey once. Any solutions?
Once is fine – there is a question in there asking how many blogs you write. If you got that far, just list 2. Thanks!
