Editor’s Note: We are now full for the Blogger Reports session.
——————–
We have scheduled a one-hour session at the Beer Bloggers Conference in Boston titled “Blogger Reports”, in which ten Citizen Beer Bloggers will each have five minutes to talk about anything they wish. We need volunteers!
The session takes place from 9:30 – 10:30 AM on Sunday, July 28th. If you are registered to attend the BBC and wish to have your five minutes of glory, please leave a comment below providing your suggested topic title and a couple lines describing it. If you wish, you can email us (info@) instead. We will select 10 people to present.
What makes for a good Blogger Report? First of all, it can’t be purely promotional. Yes, you can tell us about your blog, the event you organized, or how much money you have made blogging (!). But it needs to be more than that.
A good Blogger Report will reveal something new to your audience: a new way you have used social media to connect with your followers, a beer dinner you held in your town with a local brewmaster, etc.
You should also, ideally, be a good presenter. Not everyone can be funny but perhaps you can put together a good visual presentation, have a great costume to wear, or just can wow us with your repertoire.
This is your time to connect with the audience, so think hard about what makes you special in beer blogging and let us know about it!
Closing the loop on social media. Starting with seeing a national story about a craft beer vacation destination in North Carolina – it had issues in detail and accuracy -and using our blog and twitter to get the story updated/fixed – all parties benefitted.
We’re guessing that we are the only married couple blogging about beer together. Add that to the fact that we concentrate on better beer news and events in the Cincinnati area and you’ve got a pretty unique blog.
I’ve got an idea! Email in transit…
I would love the chance to participate! I’ll email my topic idea tomorrow. 🙂
Man, of all the people qualified to do this, I am the LEAST haha
That is NOT true. You have a great story. 1 year of blogging under your belt. you should consider it…
