Dublin is a busy city!
Thanks for all your patience these last few weeks as we have tried to locate and sort out a good discount for you at a Dublin hotel. Unfortunately, the hotels that have enough rooms are not offering us rates we like.
We have therefore compiled a list of hotels below that are within walking distance and have availability (as of this date). Some are at negotiated rates for conference attendees, but the better rates seem to be rack rates at smaller establishments. The rates at each vary, so please shop around to find something you’re comfortable with.
We also have a Facebook Group you can join to network a roommate and/or ask questions and discuss the conference.
Hotel St. George – 9 rooms left & 10 minute walk
Hotel St. George is offering these rooms at €119 per night B&B. Please book directly with the hotel and reference the EBBC or European Beer Bloggers Conference (ask for Karl the GM if need be): http://www.hotel-st-george.ie/
Maldron Hotel – Parnell Square – good availability & 10 minute walk
Maldron is offering us a good discount off their published rate at €189 per night, though it is still pricey. Includes breakfast. You can book this directly here.
The Camden – 20 minute walk
2 star accommodations at €80 per night. It has a nightclub. Looks pretty fun. Book direct: http://www.camdendeluxehotel.com/index.html
Maple Hotel – 10 minute walk
Published rate: €115 per night. Book direct: http://maplehotel.com/
Hostel Options:
Airbnb
Another option, especially if a few of you get together, is to rent out a private flat via Airbnb. I did a quick search and there are several close options with multiple beds making this potentially the most affordable way to go.
The following are options provided by Reuben Gray of Tale of Ale who’s been helping us greatly with bringing this conference to Dublin. Thanks, Reuben!
With Dublin being a busy city in June, we suggest booking your accommodations ASAP. Also – a reminder that early bird pricing on conference registrations ends at the end of March… and only a handful of Molson Coors stipends remain! Register, book, and get ready for #EBBC14!
If you have found an alternate hotel with good rates, please leave the name in the comments below to help other bloggers needing to book their accommodations in Dublin.
avalon guesthouse is 70euro night, private twin, shared bathroom , about 15/20mins from the venue and near lots of good pubs
The abbey hotel has rooms for about €100 a night. Very close to venue but not many left.
